In summary, the Planning Commission held the second work session on Crozet Downtown Zoning. The primary purpose of the work session was to follow up, review and discuss the elements of the consultantís presentation and recommendations of September 18 on the recommended approach for establishment of four separate zoning districts. Ms. Ragsdale reviewed the proposed outline of the work session review schedule, and asked for the Commissionís guidance on how many zoning districts should be established. The consultant, Kenneth Schwartz with Community Planning + Design was available and answered questions from the Commission.
Sandy Wilcox, President of the Downtown Crozet Association (DCA), made a power point presentation to address the concerns of his group. Public comment was taken. No formal action was taken.
The Commission discussed the recommended approach for the establishment of the four separate zoning districts, made comments and asked that it be moved forward and simplified. Additional work sessions will be scheduled in the future.
