Albemarle Tourism and Adventure Center in Crozet Presents Second Event in Community Program Series
8/12/2015

Cycling will be discussed at the August 15th event

The Charlottesville Albemarle Convention & Visitors Bureau (CACVB) is happy to announce the second event in a series of programs offered at the brand new Albemarle Tourism and Adventure Center located downtown Crozet.

Shannon Tevendale will discuss the Boys & Girls Club Cycling Challenge and all things cycling on Saturday, August 15th from 10:15 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. with a session entitled “All About Local Cycling: Boys & Girls Cycling Challenge and Beyond!”

The goal of this series of programs is to engage visitors and locals alike, about topics related to activities and events that can be enjoyed in the western part of Albemarle County. The CACVB hopes locals will take advantage of these interesting and informative programs to learn more about our local tourism assets, hence becoming better-equipped to entice friends and family to come visit and enjoy our beautiful destination.

The new Albemarle Tourism and Adventure Center is now operational and the CACVB staff is ready to educate visitors and locals about the array of tourism assets to be enjoyed in our area. This new visitor center is located in the historic train depot in Downtown Crozet, which until recently was home to the town’s library. The space inside this beautiful building is shared with a consortium of local artisans, the Crozet Artisan Depot, LLC, making it a must-see location for visitors. The Artisans are also planning to host events such as jam sessions (in partnership with The Front Porch) with local musicians at this location. The jam sessions will be from 7-9pm on the third Thursday of each month starting this September. Please check the event calendar at www.visitcharlottesville.org/visitors/calendar-of-events/ for a complete list of events.
