Charlottesville Marathon Tomorrow
4/4/2014

Tomorrow the Charlottesville Marathon will step off at 7 am from the intersection of Park and E. High Streets. This race will impact traffic movements in Charlottesville and Albemarle County. The major impact will be in the downtown area where 7th St N.E. intersects with East Market St. 7th Street will be closed prohibiting East and West bound traffic movements. Drivers should consider utilizing routes to the east of this area along 9th St N.E. via Avon St. to avoid Market St.

7th Street N.E. by the Pavilion will close Friday, April 4th at 3 pm.

7th Street N.E.at East Market St. full closure will begin Saturday April 5th at 6 am until 2 pm

In Albemarle County motorist can expect delays at the intersection of 250 / Ivy Road at the Belair Subdivision. Runner should begin arriving in this area at 7:45 am and runners should be clear of the area by 9:15 am.
