The Operational Bureau is responsible for providing traditional policing services through our Patrol Division while establishing partnerships that meet the needs of a changing community. Rooted in the principles of community-oriented policing, the Operations Bureau works with community members and business owners to identify problems and implement strategies to reduce crime.

Also housed in the Operations Bureau is the Special Operations Division (SOD). SOD is primarily responsible for traffic safety education and enforcement, animal protection, logistics and fleet management, K-9 support, School Resource Officers, and repeated behavioral health calls for service.
