The County of Albemarle encourages vendors to become a registered vendor for the County. Vendors must be registered prior to the award of a contract and/or a purchase order being issued.

Vendor Registration

For your convenience, there is a secure drop box for your 24/7 use located exterior to the visitor entrance at 401 McIntire Road; Charlottesville, Virginia 22902. Bid Openings will also be held virtually, online, accessible by phone or internet in MS Teams.

Solicitations are provided online in PDF format for viewing and download. Bidders/Offerors may click on the solicitation title to obtain a copy. All bids and proposals are due in the Procurement Office, 401 McIntire Road, Suite 248, Charlottesville, Virginia 22902 until, but no later than the time and date listed within the solicitation documents. All times listed are reflective of Eastern Time Zone.

Electronic Procurement Submission

Solicitation responses are accepted electronically through the Albemarle County Procurement Intake form.  Vendor Registration is not required, and no fees are required to respond to active solicitations.  Only responses to RFP and RFQ solicitations are accepted. Sealed bids (IFBs), shall be submitted as required by the solicitation.

It is the responsibility of the offeror to submit all documents and upload at least ONE file submittal, in alignment with the Solicitation and any corresponding solicitation addenda as posted on the Albemarle County Solicitations website, before the established due date and time.  Due dates/times are listed as Eastern Time Zone.  It is the responsibility of the offeror to ensure timely and correct delivery of their Offer.

Please complete the Albemarle County Procurement Intake Form in the above link, upload your document(s), a minimum of one document is required, and SUBMIT before the solicitation due date and time.  If you do not receive a confirmation notice after submitting, please reach out to RFQ@albemarle.org or 434-296-5854 immediately.

In the event that the Albemarle County government offices are closed due to inclement weather and/or emergency situations at the time set aside for a pre-bid/pre-proposal meeting and/or the published bid opening or receipt of proposals, they will default to the next open business day at the same time.
