The Albemarle County Office of Emergency Management coordinates the county’s efforts to prepare for, respond to, and recover from emergencies and disasters. The office works in partnership with local, regional, state, and federal agencies to enhance community resilience and ensure residents have the resources and information they need before, during, and after critical events.
Albemarle County participates in CUA 911 Alerts, a regional emergency notification system run by the Charlottesville–UVA–Albemarle Emergency Communications Center. You can sign up online, via the Smart911 app, or by texting ALBEMARLE to 226787.
