General or Property Specific Inquiry

If you have an inquiry concerning property, or what you can do with your property within Albemarle County you may do so via any of the following options:

1. Visit our FAQ page to see if the answer is provided.
2. To report a concern about a zoning, building, or engineering issue CLICK HERE.
3. For all other general or property specific inquiries you may submit your inquiry through Civic Access CLICK HERE. Please note, you will have to create an account.
4. For questions regarding Civic Access or Enterprise Permitting and Licensing CLICK HERE.
5. In order to communicate with the CDD inquiry team you can also:
   • Send an email to cddinquiry@albemarle.org.
     • Please check your SPAM/JUNK/OTHER folder for an email reply from CDD Inquiry.
     • If you wish to include a plan or plat with your inquiry, please attach it to the email.
   • Leave a voicemail on the CDD Inquiry Line at 434-296-5832 extension 3440.
   • To best serve you in any of the above options you choose, it will be important for you to provide the location of your inquiry, either address or Parcel ID number (ex. 07800-00-00-02200 or 78-22). Need assistance determining the location? Please view our GIS web-based maps.

A Community Development staff member will confirm your inquiry within 24-48 hours which will include a time frame for response.
