Biography
Ned was born and raised in Wheeling, West Virginia. He earned a BFA in Theatre Arts and Drama from Ohio University in Athens in 1996 after which he moved to Cleveland, Ohio to work for the nationally recognized Theatre Arts Department at Shaker Heights High School in Shaker Heights, Ohio. Ned earned his Doctorate in Education from the University of Virginia in 2014. He is a previous at-large member and chair of the Albemarle School Board and is in his third term representing the Rio District on the Albemarle County Board of Supervisors. Ned enjoyed a successful career in the local automotive industry. He consults and teaches in a variety of venues. Two of Ned’s children are graduates of Albemarle County High School, and one currently attends ACHS.
Brief Statement of Priorities
Ned prioritizes public safety, economic development, and public education. He is an advocate for affordable housing and will continue to focus on finding viable housing solutions for our community.
