  • Albemarle County Schools are rated among the top 10% of all school divisions in the State.
  • All 25 of our schools are fully Accredited by the Commonwealth of Virginia
  • Albemarle County has two of the four Charter Schools in Virginia
  • All 3 comprehensive high schools place in the top 4% of high schools in the nation by the J. Mathews Challenge.
  • Albemarle County Schools were one of only 19 school divisions in the State to earn the VIP Governor's Award for Educational Excellence
  • 82% of Albemarle County high school graduates pursue post-secondary education
  • Albemarle High School has been selected as a Blue Ribbon School for its music program four times
  • 99.93% of Albemarle County teachers are Highly Qualified under the provisions of the No Child Left Behind Act
