ACPD Makes Arrest Following Pursuit

The Albemarle County Police Department arrested a Keswick man following a brief vehicle pursuit on Monday, July 13, 2026, after responding to a domestic incident.

At approximately 5:48 p.m., ACPD officers responded to the 600 block of Black Cat Road for reports of an intoxicated male brandishing a weapon. Upon arrival, the suspect fled the residence by car and a brief vehicle pursuit was initiated.

During the pursuit, officers utilized a controlled maneuver to safely bring the vehicle to a stop. The suspect, identified as 43-year-old Adrian Brigido-Dominguez of Keswick, Va., was taken into custody without further incident. No injuries were reported.

As a result of this incident, ACPD charged Brigido-Dominguez with:
• Felony eluding (§46.2-817b)
• Driving under the influence (§18.2-266)
• Three counts of brandishing a firearm (§18.2-282)
• Driving without a license (§46.2-301)
• Refusal of a breath test (§18.2-268.3)

Brigido-Dominguez is being held at the Albemarle-Charlottesville Regional Jail without bond.
