What's New in the GIS Viewer

The GIS Viewer has been updated to improve usability and functionality. Highlights include:

• A brightened, easy-to-navigate interface.
• A reformatted ‘Parcel Pane’ for more streamlined browsing of Parcel Summaries, Cards, Improvements, and History.
• The ability to save and print Parcel Report Cards.
• Integrated access to EagleView Pictometry for parcels.
• An enhanced Parcel Filter that allows users to view results in both list and tabular forms, with an additional export option.
• An expanded ‘Map’ menu that includes historical aerial photos.
• Introduction of THREE new tools:

o Coords- Get the X/Y coordinates for any location in Albemarle County.

o Places- Create and manage personal bookmarks for specific locations in the map.

o Profile- Create a detailed elevation profile along a user-defined (drawn) path on the map.

• Improved performance on mobile devices
