You're invited to celebrate the grand opening of the new pickleball courts at Darden Towe Park on Saturday, June 20, from 8:30 am - noon! The Albemarle County Parks Foundation (ACPF) partnered with Central Virginia Pickleball (CEVA) to fundraise within the community to expand the pickleball courts at Darden Towe Park, increasing the number of dedicated public courts from six to twelve. The Darden Towe Parks Committee approved the project in 2025. This project represents a successful community partnership among ACPF, CEVA, local partners, and the community.

Temperatures are climbing! Now is the perfect time to take simple steps that keep you, your family, and your friends safe in the heat.
Stay hydrated, limit time outdoors during peak afternoon hours, wear lightweight clothing, and never leave children or pets in a vehicle. Check on older adults, neighbors, and anyone who may be more sensitive to extreme heat.
