Public safety services will not be disrupted

Due to inclement weather and hazardous road conditions, the Albemarle County Office Buildings will be closing at 2 pm on Monday, December 8, 2025. There will be a delayed start until 10 am on Tuesday, December 9, 2025

The community meeting to discuss improvements to Charlotte Yancey Humphris Park has been postponed.

Drivers should continue to stay off the roadways to give VDOT crews space to safely maneuver as they push snow and treat icy roadways.

• Keep a safe distance between you and the car in front of you.
• Remember, it takes longer to slow down on icy roads.
• Don’t drive distracted.
• Avoid slamming on your brakes.
