Digital Inclusion Week (DIW)is here! October 6-10 marks the National Digital Inclusion Alliance (NDIA) DIW, an annual week of awareness, recognition, and celebration of digital inclusion. Albemarle County’s Broadband Office has sought to make a difference, one connection at a time; now that universal broadband access is right around the corner, we are focusing on equipping residents with the knowledge and skills they need to protect themselves online.

Be sure to follow our social media channels throughout the week for daily tips on how to stay safe online and be cyber-aware. We’ll cover topics including common scams, passwords, and protecting your online information. We have Digital Navigators available to guide you with getting online, completing an online task, or helping with devices. Meet with a Digital Navigator:

• Mondays, from 11 am - 1 pm at Central Jefferson-Madison Regional Library (JMRL)
• Tuesdays, from 10 am - 1pm at Yancey Community Center
• Fridays, from 12 - 1 pm at Northside JMRL
