Update, June 18, 2025
Albemarle County continues its efforts in responding to the cybersecurity incident that impacted our network systems last week. Our internal IT team and outside cybersecurity experts have been working carefully to bring systems back online safely and securely.
At this time, internet access at the County office has been restored. That said, we are still troubleshooting system challenges, a process that will continue through the next several weeks. This includes some public-facing resources, including GIS Web. We understand how disruptive this is for both our employees and the public, and we are working urgently to restore full functionality as safely and quickly as possible.
The trust that our Albemarle County community places in us is a top priority. We will share additional information as soon as it becomes available.
