Albemarle County's newest and largest County Park can be accessed from Route 20 (2020 Scottsville Road). This eastern park entrance, which includes a trailhead with 75 parking spaces and restrooms, provides access to 8.5 miles of signed, maintained trails.

Park is open daily 7:00am-Dark.

At 1,190 acres in size, Biscuit Run Park (BRP) is the largest County Park in Albemarle County. BRP contains extensive natural areas, natural heritage resources, and scenic landscapes that are generally uncommon so close to Charlottesville and Albemarle County's Development Area. It's location between Interstate 64, Avon Street, and Old Lynchburg Road creates convenient, accessible opportunities for outdoor recreation and contact with nature.

The park is the first of its kind in Albemarle’s development area. A minimum of 80% of the park will remain forested, sensitive natural heritage resources will be protected, and management concerns like invasive species will be addressed.
