DEVELOPMENT REVIEW PROCESS TASK FORCE SURVEY

The Albemarle County Board of Supervisors appointed a Development Review Task Force to review and assess the ways that rezoning and special use permit applications are handled. The Task Force has been asked to recommend improvements that will help fulfill the Board's goal of directing development into areas planned for development rather than spread across the countryside. Equally important, the Board wants to ensure the opportunity for general public input into decisions about these development proposals.

As part of its review, the Task Force is surveying citizens and the development community to gather perspectives on the issues and to solicit suggestions for improving citizen involvement as described above. The surveys will be available from Monday, September 18 through Friday, September 29. Individual responses to the surveys are confidential – a summary of results will be reported to the Task Force.
