Board/Commission Name Jordan Development Corporation 
Introduction/Overview/Duties The Jordan Development Corporation owns and operates three apartment facilities for low-income elderly and disabled people at two locations. The Scottsville School Apartments has 34 units and houses approximately 40 people. Near Crozet is the Meadows and the Meadowlands with 27 and 30 units. There are approximately 68 people living in these apartments. The function of the board is to manage the three facilities through a local rental management company with the assistance of one part-time employee and one full-time employee. 
Length of Term The Albemarle County appointee serves a one year term and may be reappointed by the Board of Supervisors. 
Frequency/Times for Meetings The Board meets every other month at one of the two sites and also at the Monticello Vista Apartments. 
Membership Albemarle County has two members who serve on this Board. These members may be reappointed for one year terms. 
Qualifications The appointees should be interested and concerned with housing for low-income people and be able to work with a committee structure in reaching a consensus for decisions of a non-profit Board.
