Board/Commission Name Development Area Initiatives Steering Committee II 
Introduction/Overview/Duties Guide the http://www.albemarle.org/department.asp?department=planning&relpage=2457 Neighborhood Model through the Planning Commission and Board of Supervisors process by being available to answer questions and/or give presentations. Work with staff to develop and recommend zoning and subdivision revisions to implement the Neighborhood Model. See that the Development Area Master Plans are funded and carried out. See that a set of recommended subdivision street regulations is taken to VDOT for changes to the VDOT standards. Assist the Housing Committee in the provision for affordable housing in the Development Areas. See that the effects of the Neighborhood Model are monitored for success. 
Length of Term None. 
Frequency/Times for Meetings As needed. 
Membership 10 members. Representation includes: citizens, Planning Commission members, affordable housing advocates, land developers, Chamber of Commerce members, architects, surveyors, Sustainability Council members, and the Piedmont Environmental Council. 
Qualifications A professional or personal interest in the impact of land development on the community.
