Board/Commission Name Charlottesville-Albemarle Regional Transportation Advisory Committee (CHART) 
Introduction/Overview/Duties This committee will develop and recommend updates to long-range CHART plan, evaluate plan progress, and recommend amendments and updated project descriptions to the Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) Technical Committee for endorsement and approval by the MPO Policy Board. 
Length of Term Three-year staggered terms. The County will each have five representatives on the Board: (1) one-year term, (2) two-year terms, and (2) three-year terms. Members may be reappointed. 
Frequency/Times for Meetings The CHART Committee meets the third Wednesday of the month at 7:00 p.m. in the TJPDC office. 
Membership 4 City appointments (one of which should be a Planning Commissioner)
4 County appointments (one of which should be a Planning Commissioner)
5 MPO Policy Board appointments
MPO appointments shall include representatives from the following groups: public transit, bicycing, pedestrian, freight/shipping, Chamber of Commerce, environmental, private transit, and small business. City and County appointments may also represent these interest groups.
