BACKGROUND:
On the Board’s agenda for November 5, 2008 is the initial presentation and discussion of the County’s Five-Year Financial Plan. As discussed at the Board’s Strategic Plan Retreat on October 24, 2008, the significant downturn in the economy will have a considerable impact on the revenue picture this year and into the future. Specific information about revenue projections, as well as expenditure forecasts, will be included in the Five-Year Financial Plan staff is presenting at Wednesday’s meeting for Board review and discussion.
Attached for your information is the presentation from the recent retreat regarding the Five-Year Financial Plan.
RECOMMENDATIONS:
The initial review of the Five-Year Financial Plan is for informational purposes only. Approval of the plan by the Board is scheduled for December, 2008.
