RESOLUTION

 

 

            RESOLVED, at a duly called meeting of the Industrial Development Authority of Albemarle County, Virginia, held on November 13,  2007, as follows:

            WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors of Albemarle County created the Industrial Development Authority of Albemarle County (the “IDA”), pursuant to authority granted it by predecessor statutes for Va. Code §15.2-4901 et seq. (the “Act”); and

            WHEREAS, Va. Code §15.2-4903 (C) allows that the name of the IDA may be the Economic Development Authority of Albemarle County, if the Board of Supervisors of Albemarle County so chooses; and

            WHEREAS, because of changes in federal legislation and the economy, the name, Industrial Development Authority no longer adequately portrays the function of the IDA.

            NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of the Industrial Development Authority of Albemarle County, Virginia that the Board of Supervisors of Albemarle County are requested to change the name of the Industrial Development Authority of Albemarle County to the Economic Development Authority of Albemarle County.

I certify the foregoing Resolution was adopted at a duly called meeting of the Industrial Development Authority of Albemarle County held on November 13, 2007 by a vote of four to zero, which vote is set forth below.
