Dear Mr. Masselli:

 

The Albemarle County Planning Commission, at its meeting on May 30, 2006, unanimously recommended denial of the above-noted petition to the Board of Supervisors.

 

Please note that this recommendation for denial was based on the information provided by staff that the business is not eligible for such a special use permit because the retail use exceeds the wholesale use of the property.  In addition, Ms. Higgins offered a friendly amendment that the site plan provided by the applicant with the request does not clearly provide for adequate traffic circulation and parking.

Please be advised that the Albemarle County Board of Supervisors will review this petition and receive public comment at their meeting on July 5, 2006. It is the Board of Supervisorís preference that a public hearing not be advertised until all of the final materials for a zoning application have been received by the County and are available for public review.  To achieve this preference, please provide final plans, final codes of development, final proffers, and any other documents deemed necessary by the Director of Community Development, to me no later than June 12.
