BP-7A-05 (District wide bridge painting project)                                                                       

• Contractor continues working on structures on I-66 in Fauquier County.
• Scheduled to resume work on the roadway spans of the Rte. 250 bypass over Barracks Rd. the week beginning 10-23-06. 

PM-7B-06 (Primary roads paving schedule)

·         Route 250 from Old Ivy Rd. to West Leigh Dr.: Paving complete.  A minor portion of pavement line marking and installation of plowable markers remain to complete this section. Anticipate completion by the last week of October.

Route 601, Old Ivy Road, 0601-002-6261, SR01

·         The bridge deck demolition in the area necessary for the repair work has been completed and the damaged bridge beam has been removed.  Tentative schedule is to place the new bridge beam on 10-29-06.

Preliminary Engineering

Albemarle County

• Route 22 / 250 Intersection Improvements, 0022-002-104, C501

R/W is currently being negotiated.  After R/W is acquired and utilities are relocated, Luckstone will construct the project under permit.

• Route 631 Meadow Creek Parkway, 0631-002-128, C502, B612, B657                               

On schedule for a June 2008 Ad Date.  Right of Way plans have been approved.  The Notice to Proceed for right of way acquisition was issued October 4, 2006.  Funding is being addressed to keep on schedule.

• Route 691 Jarmans Gap Road, 0691-002-158, C501                                                  

Advertisement date will be adjusted to show an August 2009 ad.  R/W plans are expected to be signed by July 30, 2007.

• Route 656 Georgetown Road, 0656-002-254, C501

Preliminary schedule was submitted to Dennis Rooker on August 23^rd.  The project will only include pedestrian and safety improvements and will not be federal.

• Route 606 Dickerson Road, 0606-002-P75, N501                                           

This project is on hold as funds may need to be transferred to Rt 643 at the request of the county.  District has submitted the bridge replacement projects to Richmond for Federal funds consideration.

• Route 643 Rio Mills Road, 0643-002-P76, N501

The curve has been staked in the field and a scoping meeting has occurred.  Environmental is currently assessing impacts. 

• Route 769 Rocky Hollow Road, 0769-002-P89, N501

Culvert and grading operations will begin in the fall of 2006.  The surface will be placed in the spring of 2007.

Greene County

• Route 627 Bacon Hollow Road, 0627-039-195, C501                                                 

It has been determined that the project is not eligible for federal funding.  Funding has been shifted to this project to be fully funded in F.Y. 2008.  Ad date will be set for spring of 2007.

• TME Enterprises, Inc, Norfolk, began contract to provide Turnkey Asset Management Services along Route I-64 from I-81 to MP 174.23.  The initial contract period is from October 1, 2006, to September 30, 2009.  There are two (2) optional three (3) year renewals.

• Patching operations completed on Routes I-64 @ 107, 6, 240, 626 (Langhorne), 627 (Porters), 656 (Georgetown),

658 (Barracks Farm),  676 (Tilman), and 719 (Alberene).

• Graded and replaced stone on Routes 606 (Dickerson), 611 (Jarmans Gap), 627 (Green Mtn), 630

(Green Creek), 629 (Browns Gap), 633 (Heards Mtn), 633 (Cove Garden), 634 (Spring Valley),

638 (Blacks Ln), 640 (Gilbert Station), 643 (Rio Mills), 661 (Reas Ford), 662 (Bleakhouse), 671

747 (Preddy Creek), 759 (Three Chopt), 760 (Red Hill Schl), 810 (Browns Gap), and 868 (Corville Frm).

• Mowing Routes 601 (Free Union/Garth), 610 (Lonesome Mtn), 611 (Jarmans Gap), 612

(Murrays), 729 (Milton), and 810 (Browns Gap).

• Traffic Control for John Paul Jones Arena events by Free Union AHQ.
• Debris removal on bridges located on Routes 689 (Pounding Creek), 810 (Dyke), and 1670 (Ashwood).

Greene County

• Patching operations completed on Routes 604 (Celt), 622, 633 (Amicus) and 810 (Dyke).
• Graded and replaced stone on Routes 601 (Mission Home), 614 (Brokenback Mtn), 624, (Pea Ridge), 626 (Snow Mtn) 627 (Bacon Hollow), 629 (Welsh Run), 630 (Rosebrook), 632 (Wyatt Mtn), 637 (South River), 642 (Simms/Taylor Mtn), 646 (Garth), and 677 (Ice House).
• Ditch/Pipe Cleaning Routes 619 (Dundee) and 623 (Swift Run).
• Mowing operations on Rt 33 Mtn.
• Pipe installed on Rt 642 (Taylor Mtn), 667 (Middle River), and 810 (Dyke)
• Daylighting signs on secondary routes.
• Replacing bridge on Route 646 (Garth) and debris removal on bridge on Route 633 (Amicus).

• Daylighting school signs county wide.
• Safety Service Patrol contractor looking after I-64 in Albemarle County during peak hours.
