Rural Rustic Road

This project is under construction with state forces. The pipes have been placed and the grading is underway. Expect to complete within two weeks.

Construction with state forces scheduled to begin immediately following completion of Rte. 623.

On schedule for spring 2008 Construction with design in progress. R/W plans are under development.

On schedule for a June 2008 Ad Date. Right of Way plans for total takes have been approved.

Route 691 Jarmans Gap Road, 0691-002-158, C501

Right of way plans to be submitted by December 2006. VDOT and County staff met with the United Methodist Church to discuss their concerns on parking lot impacts.

Route 656 Georgetown Road, 0656-002-254, C501
District and Residency staff met with the county and Albemarle BOS member to discuss a plan of action. Decision was made to pursue improvements to the pedestrian and bicycle facilities and work with the transit.
Route 606 Dickerson Road, 0606-002-P75, N501

This project is on hold as funds may need to be transferred to Rt 643 at the request of the county. District has submitted the bridge replacement projects to Richmond for Federal funds consideration.

Route 643 Rio Mills Road, 0643-002-P76, N501

Preliminary sketches have been developed. The curve will be staked next week and evaluated for cultural resource impacts and stream impacts. This will determine the next step in the project.

Route 769 Rocky Hollow Road, 0769-002-P89, N501

Construction scheduled to begin at the completion of Rte. 744.

Greene County

Route 627 Bacon Hollow Road, 0627-039-195, C501

Project is on schedule for December 2006 Ad Date. Utilities have been relocated.
