ACTION: X INFORMATION:
Staff has recently discussed changes and challenges in the County’s Fire Rescue system and the need for direction from the Board regarding expectations and the roles of the various emergency providers in the system. Because of the significant increased investments in the system over the past several years, and the anticipated changes ahead with the addition of staff to support volunteer stations and to man new stations, establishing guiding principles and service expectations are particularly important. In addition, the changes in the system have created the need for clarity regarding the role of staff and the Fire Rescue Advisory Board in policy development and service delivery decisions.
Goal: 3.1: Make the County a safe and healthy community in which citizens feel secure to live, work and play
