BACKGROUND:

On September 14, 2005, the Board of Supervisors reviewed the request for a special use permit to allow development of a multifamily complex in accordance with Section 23.2.2.9 of the Zoning Ordinance which allows for R-15, Residential use in a CO, Commercial Office district. This item was deferred in order for the conditions to be revised as requested by the Board of Supervisors.

 

DISCUSSION:

The attached conditions have been revised based on the discussion/request during the Board of Supervisors meeting.

 

The applicant requested the following change to condition 9: Except for those attached single family buildings located in Zone a., the exteriors of attached single family buildings shall be either red brick, or white painted brick with gable roofs.  The original condition stated “the exteriors of attached single family buildings shall be red brick with gable roofs.” Staff finds either condition acceptable.

 

RECOMMENDATIONS:

Staff recommends denial as stated in the July 29th staff report. However, should the Board of Supervisors wish to approve this request, the attached conditions would be appropriate.
