Board of Supervisors Approves Hatton Ferry Funding

The Albemarle County Board of Supervisors this afternoon approved an agreement with the Virginia Department of Transportation and appropriated funding to provide $9,300 to keep the Hatton Ferry operating for the next three months, through October 1, 2009.  


The agreement was approved with the expectation that any unused funds from the $9,300 appropriation would be returned by VDOT to Albemarle County at the end of the three months and that the County would be reimbursed by private donations raised by an effort being coordinated by Supervisors member Lindsay Dorrier and the Albemarle County Historic Society.  Donations can be forwarded to the Hatton Ferry Fund c/o Old Dominion National Bank, P. O. Box 321, Scottsville, VA, 24590.
