Parks and Recreation now accepting applications for Summer Lifeguards

Are you looking for a summer job? Better yet, do you want to work out of the best office space in Albemarle County this summer?

The Parks and Recreation Department is accepting applications right now for lifeguards to patrol our three swimming beaches: Chris Greene Lake, Mint Springs Valley, and Walnut Creek Parks.

We need you to:
Be able to work 40 hours a week from Memorial Day through Labor Day 2019
Be at least 16 years old
Be physically fit and responsible
Enjoy the outdoors, water, and people
Be certified in Red Cross Lifeguarding, CPR and First Aid

NOTE: If you are not currently certified, but sign up for local certification classes, we will reimburse you with a valid receipt if you are hired.

Starting pay is $11.00 per hour, plus uniforms and a tan!

The interview process will begin in late March, with hiring status notifications going out by the end of April.
