Albemarle County to Celebrate National County Government Month

Albemarle County will observe National County Government Month (NCGM) this month to celebrate our local government and school employees who are dedicated to providing quality services and critical capital projects that strengthen and support our community. Our employees take pride in their responsibility to protect and enhance the health, welfare and safety of the County’s residents, as can be seen by this video.

NCGM is an annual celebration of county government. Since 1991, the National Association of Counties (NACO) has encouraged America’s 3,069 counties to promote the services and programs they offer during NCGM each April.

The County will participate in NCGM by hosting a variety of community outreach events and activities to help raise awareness and understanding of the roles and responsibilities of county government:

Spring Break in the Park
