Regional Firearms Training Center Project Posted for Bidding

The Regional Firearms Training Center Project was posted for bidding on Wednesday, February 18th with a 30-day bid period. Bidding documents are available online through the County Purchasing webpage.

The schedule for the bid phase is as follows:

Wednesday, February 18: Bid period begins
Thursday, February 26: Mandatory pre-bid meeting and site visit for potential contractors.
Wednesday, March 18: Bid opening
May / June (TBD): Start construction dependent on bids and final approv

The project has received the following approvals to date: the State Architectural Review Board for design; the Department of Environmental Quality for the Environmental Impact Report; the Thomas Jefferson Soil and Water Conservation District for the Erosion, Sediment, and Stormwater Management Plan; and by the Department of Health for well and septic/drain field locations. The project is currently under review by the Department of Historical Resources and the Treasury Department's Environment, Health and Safety Office.
