Piedmont Regional Community Animal Response Team to Host Animal Sheltering Information Session on October 17
10/11/2013

The number one reason people refuse to evacuate their homes during an emergency is because they don’t want to leave a pet behind. The Piedmont Regional Community Animal Response Team (PRCART) works to address the needs of animals during an emergency and is looking to help educate the community on this important role.

Learn how to volunteer at an Introduction to Animal Sheltering information session which will be held on Thursday, October 17, 2013 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in Room 241 of the Albemarle County Office Building, located at 401 McIntire Road, Charlottesville.

Learn about the basics of Community Animal Response Team (CART) animal sheltering in Albemarle County and the surrounding counties and what PRCART does in our area, and when and how it is used in an emergency.

If you plan to attend, or would like more information, please e-mail Lil Owl at: lilowl@mindspring.com
