Albemarle County Citizen Fire Rescue Academy Kicks Off October 7; Registration Currently Underway

Have you ever wondered how heavy firefighting gear really is? Try it on and see for yourself! Do you want to know why a fire engine shows up for a medical 911 call? Join Chief Dan Eggleston and his Chief Officers for this insightful and fun academy!  Learn about a day in the life of Albemarle County Fire Rescue at the Citizen Fire Rescue Academy, which will answer questions and offer experiences you won't soon forget.

The Fire Rescue Academy will be held on Mondays from 6:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. starting October 7 and running through November 25, 2013 and will be held at Hollymead Fire Rescue Station 12, 3575 Innovation Drive, Charlottesville, VA 22911.

The course is sponsored by the Albemarle Fire Corps and the Albemarle County Fire Rescue and is provided free of charge. Reserve your seat today as space is limited to 30 participants! Participants must be at least 18 years of age and are required to complete a waiver which will be provided at the first class.
