Albemarle County Storm Debris Disposal Updates

As County residents continue storm clean up, please be aware of the following updates regarding Albemarle County’s storm debris collection and disposal efforts:

  • Debris collection sites at Walnut Creek Park, Mint Springs Valley Park, Darden Towe Park, and Chris Green Lake Park will close at 6 p.m. on Sunday, July 15th 
  • Contractors will be set up at Mint Springs from Monday, July 16th through Friday, July 20th to grind and haul debris 
  • Mint Springs debris collection site will reopen on Saturday, July 21st
    • Weekend hours:  7 a.m. until 1 p.m. 
    • Weekday hours:  7 a.m. until 2 p.m. 
  • All other Parks debris collection sites will remain closed
  • The Ivy Landfill will continue to accept vegetative storm debris from individual residents (no contractors) free of charge during their normal operating hours
