Foxfield Races 2012 Enforcement Results

The Albemarle County Police report that there were a total 61 arrests made during Foxfield Races on April 28, 2012.  These arrests are the combined enforcement efforts of the Albemarle County Police Department, Albemarle County Sheriff's Office and the Virginia ABC Bureau of Law Enforcement.  The majority of the arrests were for public intoxication, other arrests included possession of fictitious identification and underage possession of alcohol.

Officers assigned to traffic duties on Garth Road and Free Union Road issued 37 summonses for various motor vehicle infractions, most of which were related to state inspection and seat belt violations.

The Albemarle County Police Department was assisted by special agents with the Virginia ABC Bureau of Law Enforcement, deputies with the Albemarle County Sheriff's Office, and troopers with the Virginia State Police
