MEETING RESCHEDULED FOR MARCH 8: Albemarle to Hold Master Plan Meeting for Southern Urban Neighborhoods

Albemarle County’s Comprehensive Plan is being updated this year, including development of a “framework” Master Plan for Neighborhoods 4 & 5, the southern urban areas of the County,  that will include a new land use plan based on updated goals for the Neighborhoods.

Come join your neighbors in learning about the Comprehensive Plan process, find out what the existing plan says, and learn the status of development projects in the area on Thursday, March 8, 2012, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., Room 241, County Office Building, McIntire Road. (NEW DATE/LOCATION)

Participants can expect to review goals for Neighborhoods 4 & 5 and provide feedback on what should be retained, look at the Land Use map and make suggestions on what should stay the same, and whether proposed uses should change.  Citizen participation will help form the recommended plan that will go to the Planning Commission this summer.
