10/31/2011
Focus is on Public Education Partnerships to Support Albemarle's Economic Vitality
Albemarle County local government, school division and the Thomas Jefferson Partnership for Economic Development (TJPED) are convening a third roundtable discussion focused on how the business community, local government and County schools can work together on behalf of Albemarle's economic prosperity. This roundtable will be held on Tuesday, November 1, beginning at 6:00 pm in Classroom 120 at the Darden School.
The Thomas Jefferson Partnership for Economic Development (TJPED), in cooperation with Albemarle County Government and County Public Schools, will discuss one of the initiatives, an exciting entrepreneurial program for high school students. This initiative provides students with entrepreneurial planning skills and hands-on experience. Other speakers will talk about several additional programs that are planned or underway and that resulted from two earlier discussions on how our business, local government and education communities can partner for economic progress.
