Winter Weather is Here. LEAPís Free Workshop Helps Homeowners Get Ready
12/6/2010

With the first snow of the season under our belts and temperatures hovering around freezing, homeowners in Central Virginia might think their only option to stay warm is to turn up the thermostat and pay the price. The Local Energy Alliance Program (LEAP) is offering a free Home Energy 101 Workshop on Thursday evening to help homeowners learn more about how they can winterize their homes and wallets.

This is part of an ongoing series of free workshops LEAP is offering to the community. The next workshop is scheduled for January 27.

What: Free Home Energy 101 Workshop
Hear from LEAP’s energy efficiency experts what no cost and low cost things you can do to help you save money on your energy bills. Find out how your home can be one of the few high performers in your neighborhood. Learn how to get significant rebates on professional energy audits and energy efficiency home improvements.

When: Thursday, December 9 – 6:00-7:45 pm

Where: Thomas Jefferson Planning District’s new Water Street Conference Center, 407 E. Water Street

More: Food, drinks and 2 hours parking at the Water Street Garage provided. Suggested donation: $5.
