New Fire Rescue Volunteer Website Launched

Those interested in volunteering for the Albemarle County Fire Rescue System have an informative and convenient new tool to help them understand what volunteering for the County is all about.  is a new website that is part of a recruitment campaign designed by County volunteer and career fire rescue leaders to increase the number of people volunteering in Albemarle.  The recruitment campaign is being funded by a federal grant and is a call to action to the community to support the critical volunteer needs of the County emergency system. 

The website features an overview of the County system and a clickable map which provides specific information about each station in the system including history and volunteer needs. The site also includes important points to consider regarding volunteering and online application forms.
