County Attorney

The County Attorney's Office provides legal counsel and advice in all civil matters to the Board of Supervisors, the School Board, and all other boards, agencies and officials of the County in such areas as land use and zoning, taxation and finance, law enforcement, social services, contracts, real estate, employment, legislation and litigation. The office drafts ordinances and resolutions to implement policy decisions of the Board of Supervisors, prepares legislative proposals, represents the County and School Board in litigation, and prosecutes County Code violations. In addition, the office represents the Emergency Operations Center, the Regional Library, and other boards, commissions and committees appointed by the Board of Supervisors.
