There are several ways to register to vote.  Registration is available in our office, located in the 5th Street County Office Building, 1600 5th Street, Charlottesville, VA 22902, from 8:30 a.m. untol 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.

You may register by mail by requesting a form to be sent to you by calling 434-972-4173, or by downloading an application by clicking here.  You must print out the form and mail it to the Registrar's office by the close of books deadline; late applications must be processed after the November election.

 The Electoral Board Office is located in the McIntire Road County Office Building in Room 131 and the Elections Manager is normally available for Voter Registration. You may call 434-296-5863 to verify availability.  In addition, voter registration forms are normally available at local libraries, schools, and service agencies. In addition, you may click here for a listing of upcoming voter registration sites -- dates, times, and locations (please note that for any registration site that is a county public school, members of the public must first present themselves at the main office of the school, identify themselves and obtain a school pass, before proceeding to the voter registration site in the school).
