AN ACCREDITED LAW ENFORCEMENT AGENCY
VOLUNTEER PROGRAM

Volunteer at Foxfield

The Albemarle County Police department Volunteer Program is nationally recognized by the International Chiefs of Police Foundation Volunteer in Police Services Program.

The VIPS program is designed to allow volunteers to support the efforts of the department and allow its officers to spend more time in law enforcement activities. The program is a “needs based” program and  we seek and encourage our citizens interested in volunteering to talk to us about their talents and background. Our current VIPS come from backgrounds such as: military intelligence; journalism; sales/marketing , photographers, chaplains and college interns who may see themselves working in law enforcement.
