AN ACCREDITED LAW ENFORCEMENT AGENCY

BACKGROUND INVESTIGATIONS

The Background Investigations Team is composed of sworn police officers and retired police officers.  The mission of the team is to conduct thorough and appropriate background investigations on potential employees with the police department.  In the interest of public safety, people's backgrounds need to be checked into before they are permitted to assume positions where trustworthiness is important.  Background Investigators are responsible for conducting and documenting an objective assessment of a candidate's suitability for employment with the department. Personnel selected to the team will receive training from current team members and also attend a two day background investigations school.
