SIZE 502 land acres, 8 water acres and 2 beach acres
HOURS

 

Parks are generally open for daylight hours all year. Specific hours for each park are posted at park entrance.
SWIMMING

 

Daily 11:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. (from Memorial Day weekend to Labor Day, except on the days when Albemarle County Schools are in session)
HIKING TRAILS

 

Fire Trail 1.8 miles - Elevation change 370 feet; Hollow Trail .5 miles - Elevation change 240 feet; Lake Trail .5 miles - Elevation change 60 feet; Big Survey Trail .8 miles. Click here to download trails map.
FISHING

 

Trout are stocked at Mint Springs Valley Park. A Trout Fishing License is required from October - June. Mint Springs is also stocked with sunfish, channel catfish and large- mouth bass for which a Virginia State Fishing License is required all year.
BOATING

 

U.S. Coast Guard-approved boats and crafts welcome. Gasoline-powered motors are prohibited. Electric motors are allowed.
AMENITIES

 

Wheelchair accessible playground, 6 tables and 5 grills scattered throughout the park; 2 picnic shelters with open grills and electricity; restrooms available.

Take Route 250 West; Turn right onto Route 240; Turn left onto Route 788 (Rail Road Avenue); Turn right onto Route 684 (Mint Springs Road); Turn left into Park. Type in your address below to map directions to Mint Springs Valley Park.
