Albemarle County has nine parks, which offer over 2,000 acres for passive and active leisure activities. Activities at the parks include swimming, picnicking, fishing, hiking, biking, and boating. The parks are open all year for your enjoyment, and we hope you will visit them often.
While all County parks are generally open from 7:00 a.m. to dark, individual parks may have special hours to accommodate fisherman. Hours are posted at each park.
All parks are open free of charge, with the following exception. There is a park user fee charged between Memorial Day Weekend and Labor Day Weekend at Chris Greene, Mint Springs, and Walnut Creek Parks - Click here for more information.
