Inmates are allowed one visit per week and a maximum of two visits per month.
The dress code will be enforced.
Shorts are not allowed to be worn in the facility.
Revealing attire is not allowed to be worn in the facility.
Tank tops, halter tops, or tube tops are not allowed to be worn in the facility.
Visitors will be turned away for attire considered inappropriate.
Visitors will be turned away for disruptive behavior.
Baby strollers, car seats, diaper bags, hand bags, pocket books, purses or briefcases are not allowed in the facility.
Cellphones, cameras or electronic devices of any kind are prohibited.
Visitors cannot bring any food or drink into the visitation booth.
Any visitor found to have violated these procedures may have their visitation rights revoked and a trespassing notice put into effect.Family and Friends
Visitors must conduct yourselves in a respectable manner during visits. Officers may terminate any visit which results in disruptive behavior. Visitors conducting themselves in any disruptive behavior or who are suspected of being intoxicated will be required to leave the facility property.
Any inmate charges with a sex crime against a minor will not be permitted to have any visitor under the age of 18, or be in the visitation booth while minors are visiting another inmate.
No one under 18 years of age will be allowed to visit, unless they are accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
Convicted felons will not be allowed to visit inmates, without the approval of the Superintendent or designee.
It is unlawful for anyone to bring contraband into a correctional facility. Anyone bringing contraband into the Albemarle – Charlottesville Regional Jail shall be charged.
