HOMEBUYER'S ClubThe HOMEBUYER'S Club is designed to help low-income people achieve the goal of home ownership through education and individualized counseling. Club meeting topics include, but are not limited to: credit, budgeting, issues, employment, types of loans, and the entire homebuyer process.  For more information, contact Paul Harper, (434) 296-5839.

HOUSING CHOICE VOUCHER PROGRAM

Housing choice vouchers allow very low-income families to choose and lease or purchase safe, decent, and affordable privately-owned rental housing in Albemarle County.  This type of voucher is also referred to as a Tenant-Based Voucher.

THE FAMILY SELF-SUFFICIENCY PROGRAM

The Family Self-Sufficiency Program was established to assist families who receive rental assistance set goals to become economically self-sufficient by coordinating services in the community.  Contact Janice Carey-Johnson  or Lyn Lang (434) 296-5839 for more information.

The County of Albemarle Office of Housing provides all program services with regards to Race, Color, Sec, Religion, Creed, National or Ethnic Origin, Age, Familial Statue, Handicap or Disabilities. The County of Albemarle Office of Housing is Accessible to Persons With Disabilities. Dialing 711 for the Virginia Relay Center provides accessibility for the Hearing-Impaired.
