Family Self-Sufficiency Program

 

 

 WHAT IS THE FAMILY SELF-SUFFICIENCY PROGRAM?

 

The Family Self-Sufficiency Program (FSS) was established to help families who receive rental assistance become economically self-sufficient by coordinating existing services in the community such as:

  • Adult Education
  • Childcare
  • Transportation
  • Personal and Career Counseling
  • Job Training
  • Job Placement

  WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF THE PROGRAM?

 

The Family Self-Sufficiency Program will:

  • Provide One-on-One counseling
  • Help Families set five (5) year achievable short-term and long-term goals
  • Help identify individual strengths and needs
  • Provide/identify needed services
  • Establish and Escrow Savings Account as your earnings increase

Workshops on:

  • Credit Counseling/Financial Planning
  • Spending Plans
  • Nutrition
  • Homeownership Classes
