The facility maintenance staff is responsible for the upkeep of six occupied County owned buildings totaling over 340,000 square feet. Additionally, they have caretaker responsibility for the old jail and jailer’s house. These buildings range in age from our historic early 19th century courthouse to our newest Fire Rescue Station - Station 12 that opened in 2008. In addition to handling the day to day operations of the buildings ensuring building systems are operating properly and responding to customer service requests, the staff is actively involved with contractor oversight for small renovation projects such as the remodeling of restrooms and offices and the upkeep of the County pool vehicles.
