  • All applications must be completed online.
  • Please be sure to complete all fields of the application, including references.
  • Please bring copies of all of your certifications to your interview.

Common Application Mistakes

  • Not following directions
  • Misspelled words
  • Incomplete information or unanswered questions
  • Incomplete work history, or large unexplained gaps in work history
  • Overlapping or conflicting employment dates with no explanation
  • Application not submitted by the deadline


  • Arrive on time to your interview. 
  • Punctuality is important in all professions, but especially in the fire rescue service. 
  • If you are not certain of how to get to the interview or what time your interview is, please call our office for verification ahead of time. 
  • Tardiness to the interview will reflect poorly. 
  • Your appearance is important.  Business attire is recommended.
  • If you would like to submit a resume or copies of your certifications for consideration by the interview panel, please bring copies with you.  We will be happy to add them to your application.
